Who we are....

Oxygen Advisors is a team of dedicated vCFO’s who are redefining the industry and providing financial & commercial clarity for aspiring high growth companies across NZ. 

Over the past few years, their clients have raised more early-stage capital than any other advisory firm in the country. The company has received national recognition, with an award category created specifically for them in the 2019 Xero Accounting Awards for transforming the accounting sector in New Zealand.

As they are continuing to grow, they are now looking for an experienced finance business partner / vCFO that is passionate about New Zealand’s start-up and high-growth sector.  
  
The role...
As a trusted financial partner, you will work closely with Founders/CEO and Business owners to provide detailed, thorough management reporting, financial analysis, guidance and advice to support bold and confident decision making. Helping clients find unique solutions to unique problems, you will require a high level of proactiveness and thinking outside the square.

We are looking for those that have a business owner mindset and can work right across the accounting spectrum.  You will be comfortable advising at a board level, through to presenting meaningful management accounts.

There will also be times where you will be expected to roll your sleeves up and get right in to the numbers. We are a small team working at a fast pace, and sometimes things just need to get done

Who you are...
You will be looking for an opportunity to really make an impact across New Zealand’s business ecosystem.  Combining your accounting experience and commercial knowledge, to drive outstanding commercial outcomes for a wide range of businesses.  

You will have a CA qualification (or similar) and have strong commercial experience gained in a combination of advisory and commercial accounting roles.  You will have a strong foundation in management accounting, be technology savvy and be able to offer sound advice backed by numbers. You will also have and interest in systems and process improvement, able to assist the business as it continues to grow.

You will be provided the opportunity to learn and encouraged to step out of your comfort zone to develop your skills and experience. As part of a high performing and close-knit team, the exposure you will receive to clients will be hugely beneficial to continuing to grow your ability to deliver above and beyond the clients expectations.

Accounts Assistant

Oxygen Advisors are an established & growing team of virtual CFOs that provide critical accounting and finance support to aspiring high growth kiwi companies. Our purpose is to provide our clients with trusted information that supports bold and confident decision making - and the accounts assistant role is critical in enabling us to do this.

We are a passionate and committed team that truly become an extension of our clients teams, and share in their journey.

We are looking for a talented Accounts Assistant to join our team based in the city (K Road) and be a part of our growth story.  We are flexible on providing hours that support the right candidate, and would be willing to consider candidates that can provide between 20 and 40 hours of work per week.

As the Accounts Assistant you will work behind the scenes on a range of clients providing accounting and administrative support. Your team orientated nature and your willingness to help & support will see you working work closely with all members of the team.

Key Tasks:

  • Daily, weekly and monthly reconciling of Xero bank accounts for several different clients.

  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions.

  • Payroll and expense claim processing.

  • Working with a variety of systems to ensure accounting data is recorded accurately.

  • Ad hoc assistance on financial and administrative tasks across the business.

Ideal Experience:

  • Experience working in a commercial environment in a similar role is preferable.

  • Xero experience is favourable.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Sound MS Office and Excel skills.

Key Attributes:

  • High attention to detail.

  • Proactive and be willing to help where needed.

  • To be hands on and take ownership of your role.

  • A quick learner.
