Working in a small team environment, you will support the Business Partners & Directors with financial & management accounting for a diverse range of clients. You will immerse yourself in your clients business and the reporting you provide, your insight and advice will be an integral part of your clients success. Your key responsibilities will include:
Preparation and management of monthly financial packs, including commentary.
Month end journals, accruals, GST returns, balance sheets, profit & loss accounts and cash flow forecasting.
Annual budgets and cash flow analysis.
Compliance and risk analysis
Answering and supporting client questions and providing advice
As you grow and develop in the role, you will support the Business Partners with
Attending client meetings.
Preparing business plans for clients.
Preparing and reviewing information memorandums.
Assisting in funding applications.
Involved in strategy sessions.
Ad hoc reporting and improvement projects.
You will be someone who is working towards or completed your CA qualification with 3-4 years Accounting experience. Ideally we are looking for someone with at least 2 years experience in a commercial setting - and even better if this is in a high-growth business.
You will be someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to build lasting relationships, and a proactive approach at all times. This requires a can-do attitude and the willingness to stretch outside a position description where necessary. Strong analytical skills are essential, with an eye for detail, proving your ability to manage the end to end accounting and finance piece. Previous payroll experience is preferred.
